The chemical fallout in Ohio is much worse than being reported.

When Vinyl Chloride burns it forms highly toxic combustion products such as hydrogen chloride, phosgenic, and carbon monoxide.

What is really bad is it results in TCDD, the most toxic chemical known by man which is a cancer causing toxic vapor that is a forever chemical that is difficult to break down.

It is considered a persistent bio-accumulative toxin -- persistent meaning it doesn't go away, accumulative meaning it accumulates up the Food Chain. It falls to the ground and is consumed by animals, the animals consume it and spread it down the food chain.
