On “Pissy Pamper,“ Young Nudy enlists the help of fellow Atlanta native Playboi Carti and Ohio rapper Kid Cudi to deliver raps about smoking weed, carrying various types of firearms and using them against their enemies, among other things. The song’s acclaimed instrumental, which is the work of frequent collaborator Pi'erre Bourne, is built around the intro to Japanese singer Mai Yamane’s 1980 song “たそがれ (Twilight).”

“Pissy Pamper” was previewed on Instagram Live by an individual affiliated with Nudy in March 2019. The snippet of Carti’s verse was remastered by fans, causing the song to gain momentum and rise in popularity. It was the reason why the song was incorrectly referred to by the fanmade name “Kid Cudi”:

Got a brand-new pack like Kid Cudi (Brand-new)
I smoke dope like Kid Cudi

The track was intended to land on Nudy and Pi'erre’s collaborative album, Sli'merre, but its unexpected leak on April 18, 2019, complicated the sample clearing process.

Seeing how it had become a viral phenomenon, Carti added the song to his official setlist and performed his verse live for the first time at Coachella on April 21, 2019. Moreover, following his second performance of the song at Rolling Loud on May 12, 2019, an unofficial upload of Carti’s verse under the title “Kid Carti” climbed to #1 on Spotify’s US Viral 50 Chart.

On May 27, 2019, Pi'erre previewed Nudy and Carti’s vocals over a different beat in a video posted to his Instagram story. This led to speculation that due to the exclusion of the sample, an official release of the song was imminent. This would likely not be the case, however, as Nudy expressed his decision to move on from “Pissy Pamper” in his May 2019 interview with Pitchfork.

On June 4, 2019, what was claimed by Young Nudy’s DJ to be the “final mix” of the song was officially premiered on BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Rap Show with Tiffany Calver.

On December 22, 2020, just three days before the release of Whole Lotta Red, Carti teased a verse from Cudi on his Twitter, captioning the post:

kID cUDI oN kID cUDI > 🧛🏿‍♂️🧛🏿‍♂️>

However, the track did not release alongside the album.
