Southwest Sloppy Joes

This is a yummy twist on the traditional sloppy joe recipe. We used our homemade southwest seasoning to give it a little kick. - Michele

Southwest Seasoning:

Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 pound diced peppers (red and green)
1/2 cup diced red onion
4 ounce tomato sauce
1 1/2 tablespoon southwest seasoning
Water to thin as needed, 1 tablespoon at a time.

Add ground beef, peppers and onions into large skillet until browned. In separate bowl, combine tomato sauce and southwest spice. Pour mixture into skillet with water. Increase heat to high and bring liquid to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 7 to 10 minutes. Serve on buns with cheese and other desired toppings.
