Hey everyone! In this video, I'm going to show you the Butterfly Method for adding fractions. This method is a great way to add fractions if you don't want to use the traditional method of finding the common denominator. The Butterfly Method is easy to use and makes adding fractions simple. So let's get started!

First, you'll need to find the two fractions you want to add. Then, draw a butterfly shape on a piece of paper. Place the two fractions on the wings of the butterfly and draw a line connecting them. Now the denominators of the two fractions should match.

Next, multiply the first fraction's numerator by the second fraction's denominator. Also, multiply the first fraction's denominator by the second fraction's numerator. Then adding these two numbers together will be the answers numerator.

Next, multiply the two fractions' denominators to get the denominator of the answer.

Finally, write the fraction with the new numerator and denominator and you have the answer!

That's it for the Butterfly Method for adding fractions. Give it a try and see how easy it is! Thanks for watching and good luck!
