GOLD DIGGERS-TESTING YOUR FAITH

It starts very early in life with that continual barrage of the value of this world stuff. And by the time we're in our teenage years, we're well convinced that to succeed in life, we need a lot of money and prestige. We envision a pile of gold in our backyard or under the bed as the mark of success.
Unfortunately, most people never really shake loose of that deception that gold money, power, and influence is where life is. So many strive to climb that mountain of success and, in the end, confess emptiness and despair.
The scriptures tell us that there are things more precious than gold. That is our relationship with our heavenly father, and that relationship and its development are based on what the Bible calls faith.
First, Peter 1:7 reveals that, as we exercise our faith as a muscle, it becomes more valuable than the riches of this world, such as gold. Once we capture this concept of spiritual priority, our life becomes balanced, and we understand how God's hand on us is so important.
In all reality or relationship with God, because it is our eternal key that opens up the door for everything, it is so much more important than any natural success in this life could ever be.
Could this be what Jesus meant when he said, seek first the kingdom of God, and all of these other things will be added to you? Of course, it is because when we seek the Lord first, everything else balances out in our life.
Put him first in everything you face and every decision you make, and watch God's blessings follow you.
