Most Insane James Bond Scania S770 - Goldfinger Edition
Most Insane James Bond Scania S770 - Goldfinger Edition
Truck driver Leif Riget's new Scania 770 S is not like most people. In fact, there are absolutely no 770s that can match Leif's new "Goldfinger car" when it comes to motif painting, construction and interior design. But it is also the heaviest boys on the Danish market who have delivered the ingredients.
Scania Denmark has delivered the chassis, Mosegaards Autolakering in Bramming and the airbrush artist resident in Spain Ray Hill has been responsible for the painting, Karl Johan Buur in Vrå has decorated the cab, BV Reklame has applied stone chip foil to protect the motifs, Highend Detailing in Skive has applied the coating, which gives the perfect look, and Stiholt in Aalborg has carried out construction, final preparation and delivery. BUM, then it will not get better!
- The project has lasted approx. a year, says Leif.
- The car came home from the factory in September 2020, and Stiholt delivered the finished car here in the beginning of September 2021. It has become exactly as I wanted it, he states.
In fact, there is only one thing that torments Leif about the whole project, and that is that Sean Connery himself never got to see the finished result.
- I was actually in dialogue with Sean Connery's personal assistant about the project, and she had his approval of the plans. He was supposed to be on delivery, but as most James Bond fans know, Sean Connery sadly died on October 31, 2020, just a good month into the project.
Leif has known for many years that the motive for the new car was to be Sean Connery, agent 007 and Goldfinger. He is known for having some really nice painted trucks, but the new 770 is the first with motif painting from front to rear bumper and from side to roof spoilers.
- I have been rumbling with the idea for more than 10 years, says Leif.
- To me, Sean Connery is the only real James Bond. He has the right mix of punch, audacity and humor, and I think Ray Hill has managed to capture that in the motifs as well. I am wildly impressed, Leif states.
Riget Transport was established in Mårslet near Aarhus in 2006, but already after a couple of years the company moved to Øster Bjerregrav near Randers. Here it has been since, where it has grown from a single lorry to now 12 Scania tractors and 16 trailers. All cars are engaged in the transport of various types of residual products to e.g. biogas production. It is i.a. liquid fat, process water from industry, wastewater from food production and manure. The drive takes place all over Denmark as well as in Sweden and Norway. In addition to transport, Leif is also involved in the purchase and sale of the various products for biogas production.
