CHINA - MANDATORY DIGITAL ID

In China, a mandatory digital ID comprised of detailed personal information, as well as biometric information such as photos, facial features, palm features, fingerprints and DNA, is required to board a plane, use public transport, check into a hotel, receive your pension, claim health insurance, and much more.

Ubiquitous facial recognition scanners determine whether you are able to access any of these things, and if you are blacklisted by China's social credit system (for not being obedient enough to the State), you are denied access completely.
