Final vote on SB250, a bill that makes its more difficult for counties to use paper ballots

SB250, TO AMEND THE LAW CONCERNING PAPER BALLOTS; TO AMEND THE LAW CONCERNING MARKING AND COUNTING PAPER BALLOTS;
TO AMEND THE LAW CONCERNING THE DECLARATION OF ELECTION RESULTS; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY;
was debated and passed out of Senate State Agencies Committee Thursday February 23rd.

The bill is marketed as establishing guidelines for counting paper ballots, but actually makes it more difficult
for counties to use paper ballots instead of the ES&S machine system.

The group Arkansas Voter Integrity Initiative has alternative legislation regarding election reforms.
