Sheetrocking an 1890's Home is a NIGHTMARE!

This past week of sheetrock has taken its toll on us. We've known from the beginning that this house has been a hot mess, but until we started hanging these sheets, there was no way to tell just how out of square the house truly is. We have been relentlessly fighting against the trapezoid walls, cutting sheets, dry fitting, taking them down, making adjustments, putting them back up. Sometimes repeated that process multiple times per sheet. And that was just ONE of the many issues we encountered this week.
The mounting frustration we had at the house was starting to reflect on how we were treating one another, despite our best efforts to keep things light. We had one of our worst days off camera (seriously, it was that bad) and looking back, I'm kind of wishing I would've filmed it because it was real life, there were tears (on my end of course) and it would've shown that this is NOT easy and it's not always fun and lighthearted. But, I couldn't bring myself to even turn the camera on until about 4 hours later LOTS OF PRAYING, and things started to go a little smoother. Either way, we're in this and there's no turning back. Every day is a new day, and we remind ourselves daily that when we are fully trusting God and His plan, He will give us peace.
That said, we are about 75% done with hanging rock, and we will be taking a break from filming until we have moved on from this and have some NEW content for you! Thanks for hanging in there with us!

Comment if you noticed the extra blooper at the end! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
