Daniel 5: The Writing on the Wall

Daniel 5 begins with he fall of Babylon and the writing on the wall by the finger of God: "MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN":

MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.

TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.

PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.

Cyrus of Persia and Darius of the Medes become the new super power of the world.
