CA Gov. #arnoldschwarzenegger signed Assembly Bill 1179 into law on Oct. 7, 2005.

But in 2010's Brown v. Entertainment Merchants Ass'n the Supreme Court held, “Like the protected books, plays, and movies that preceded them, video games communicate ideas -- and even social messages -- through many familiar literary devices … and through features distinctive to the medium.”
