Where Have
All The Voices Gone?

Screaming, shouting, arguments blaring;
too much of “My way” or the “Highway”.
Walls built miles high, relationships end;
voices of peace I cannot discern.

Sharing, teaching, The Golden Rule dead.
materialism rules the day.
Brother against brother, discord reigns;
chants of division are raw and loud.

Loving, caring, harmony’s hidden.
Hatred pervades society’s thought.
I plead for peacemakers to listen;
yet, I hear only sounds of silence.
