Arius and The Council of Nicaea #shorts

The Council of Nicaea was a historic gathering of Christian bishops in 325 AD, convened by the Roman Emperor Constantine. Its purpose was to address theological disputes, specifically the Arian Heresy, caused by Arius, and establish a unified doctrine for the early Christian church. The council produced the Nicene Creed, a statement of Christian faith still used today. However, it is a common misconception that the Council of Nicaea decided the Biblical Canon, meaning the books that would be included in the New Testament. This process took several more centuries and was not settled until the end of the 4th century.
