Last Day Of Memorial Weekend & Back To Work

My family all left for home and Melanie and I got right back to work on the homestead. I tilled the garden, getting ready to plant and I am working on a lawn mower for our yard.

After my family left for home I got right to work on the homestead.

I shoveled the pile of composted leaves into the rest of the garden plot and then tilled half the garden to prepare it for planting. We hope to start planting this week.

After that I got working on my garden tractor. This is the one I brought back with me from New York. It sputtered so I knew it would run and it has a complete mower deck.

I cleaned the carburetor and got the machine running but it wont drove. There is a friction wheel drive on the axle but the drive wheel is not touching the engine pulley. There may be a spring missing.

I hope I can get this running because our yard badly needs to be mowed now.
