Making My Famous Simple Survival Granola Cookies

This is my World famous simple granola survival cookie recipe. I used to make them for survival but they became so popular that I was always asked to make them.

I lived in Germany for a while after my military years. During that period I was also prepping for survival and the outdoors. I had this simple granola recipe for cookies that I made up. It was a drier cookie which I could leave out to fully dry and harden for long term survival use. But my cookies became popular after one survival training outing and I was asked to make them again and again.

During my first years in New York I still had my recipe but somewhere along the line I lost it. Since then I have not made these cookies anymore.

But now I was talking to Melanie about using some granola that we had and I told her about my cookies. We had to make some dessert for a visit with friends and the two of us argued about who would make the dessert.

I lost the battle and ended up making these cookies again - from memory. Melanie helped me some with the measurements but for the most part this was my own recipe from long ago.
