How To Save Money At Rite Aid On Products That You Already Buy
So this video is not “technically” tech stuff but it is useful and it does involve the use of tech stuff because the coupons are digital. Times are hard these days but even if they weren’t its always a good time to save money on stuff you already buy. For those that know who I am and knew me for awhile, they know I used to be the coupon king in my area back when I was active but it was easy when I had a coupon connect where I got 50 sets of every insert every week. I’m not greedy, I only kept 10 for myself and the other 40 went to my 4 my coupon friends. Oh it was great with the stock piles of stuff we had and the money we saved and we didn’t just make out at Rite Aid, we used to get lots of stuff like free gas from Giant, free gift cards from Target and lots of ExtraBucks rewards from CVS. I’m not sure how deep I will get back into couponing but if I can find the right deals, FREE Gas from Giant doesn’t sound like a bad idea. It’s technically not free gas because you have to buy a bunch of certain things to stack the gas deals, but if the stuff you’re buying is stuff you’re going to use than isn’t the gas free? This video will only focus on the deals at Rite Aid because it just so happens that I needed some expensive stuff and they had it on sale last week and this week. When I heard about the ban of Tide and other things in New York I assumed the prices would go up and I decided to stock up a bit and with the deals at Rite Aid I figured it was a good deal even without the chance of a supply and demand issue. I will make other videos to teach you how to shop and save money at other places like CVS, Giant and Target because the deals and marketing techniques are different and vary by store. I will make it easy for you to save tons of money with the break downs I show you. I don’t plan on making a couponing channel but if there is enough people interested I will create a separate channel and do a weekly break down of all the deals. I’m not really committed to couponing but I will share the weekly deals that I see. Just to give you an idea of the RiteAid weekly deals I got from the week of February 12th 2023: The deal was Spend $30 on certain P&G products and get $10 back in BonusCash and you could do this deal 2 times. They offer this deal a lot so don’t worry that you missed it. WARNING: All stores know about the coupons and they make the deals to align with the coupons to draw you in and then they put very limited supplies out in the hopes that you will have to spend more than the $30. This makes the planning process of what things you’re going to buy a lot harder so you might have to buy what you can of your items and finish the deal at another Rite Aid. Your $30 spent does not have to be in the same transaction or at the same store just remember to use the same RiteAid card. You could also substitute the items you wanted to buy with something else that is part of deal. This is what they want you do so you have to spend more. Example: Today I wanted 2 Dawn dish soaps for $6.49 each for my deal but they only had one on the shelf. Instead of going to a different store to get the 2nd Dawn, I just bought 2 Downy fabric softeners that were 2 for $7. I bet RiteAid wishes I spent another $18.99 for another Tide but I didn’t. This video was made by me and is for teaching and educational purposes as well as for research. The content used in the video is shared under Fair Use Copyright Disclaimer under section 107 of the Copyright Act of 1976, allowance is made for “fair use” for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, education and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing.
I started last week and I bought the following and I only used a $2 off $15 purchase I received in the past.
2 Tide Liquid 92oz at $12.94 each=$25.88
3 Secret Antiperspirant 2.6oz at $5.99 each=$17.97
1 Dayquil Liquid 12oz at $10.99
1 Charmin Ultra 6 Rolls at $7.99
Total Out Of Pocket for the week=$63.39 ($65.39 without the $2 off coupon I used)
BonusCash I got back=$20 for doing the deal twice + another $2 off coupon.
$63.39-$22=$41.39 and that’s not a bad deal. I then used that $20 BonusCash and the $2 off coupon today to buy
1 Zyrtec 90CT at $46.99 that’s on sale for $42.49 and there is a $10 off coupon which makes it $32.49. This does not earn BonusCash but I needed it and the $10 off coupon helped.
1 Dawn 38oz at $6.49
1 Tide 154oz at $21.99 before $3 coupon
2 Downy 34oz at 2/$7
TOTAL $82.47 but with the coupons the total came to $64.87 AND when I used the $20 BonusCash from last week my Out Of Pocket was only $44.87 AND I got $10 BonusCash for next time. I will use my $10 BonusCash to buy 2 Dawn, and 1 Tide to complete my deal for the 2nd time and earn another $10 BonusCash.
I must warn you of a few things about couponing:
1. Couponing can be addictive so don’t go buying a bunch of stuff you don’t need or won’t use UNLESS it’s FREE! Yes some stuff you buy will actually be free at the register or in the form of bonus cash. If you do end up with stuff you aren’t going to use you should consider donating it to a church or someone else that will use it because wasting stuff, even free stuff is not good.
2. Be sure that the products you buy are covered on the coupon and this includes the size and variety. Some stores do not post the deals and sales on the product label so it’s up to you to be sure you get the right stuff and at the right deal.
3. Make sure the store gives you credit for all the coupons and bonus money you used and make sure that you get the bonus money that you are supposed to get in return. Getting free money back for qualifying purposes is a key factor in saving out of pocket expenses.
4 . There are out of pocket expenses and sometimes they can be a lot depending on the deal and how you work the deal. Most deals allow you to do the deal 2 times, for less out of pocket money I suggest doing the deals once and once you get your free money back you go do the deals again the next day to cut back on the out of pocket money. You could also max out the deals all at once and be done for the week but this means double the out of pocket money and get your double reward all at once.
5. Tide and other things in the video contain harmful chemicals such as high levels of 1,4-dioxane and they have been know to cause cancer and other things.
