CHP air unit follows a vehicle going at a high rate of speed and 2 are arrested

Early this morning, officers from the CHP - Castro Valley Office were in pursuit of a vehicle on I-580 in San Leandro. As the vehicle fled into Oakland, ground officers terminated their involvement due to the suspect traveling at a high rate of speed.

H-30 was in the area and located the suspect vehicle. H-30 followed the vehicle to Skyline Blvd, where the suspects fled on foot into an Est Bay Regional Park.

With assistance of the East Bay Parks Police and CHP - Hayward, both suspects were arrested.

CHP - Castro Valley will be investigating this incident.
