N guage test of my Jupiter engine and brand new track

This video is mainly for the folks on modelrailroadforums.com who have been kindly helping me out with this.

The engine I just got running today but still needs a bit of work. Probably needs to be taken apart, cleaned, and the tender is where the electrical pick up is, I think the metal plates are not quite making good contact with the wheels. I'll get to that some other time, just had to see if something would run on this track. And the track is not yet soldered and issues worked out, but getting there. I actually got this to make a few loops before I decided to record the great event. Few spots I know about, back end over the river, and that blasted diamond cross track has caused many a car, (pushed along with my finger) to derail. Not sure but it LOOKS like those brown bits where the thing goes from one track or the other are just too high and the wheels tend to ride up on them and then head off on the wrong track. I'll have to seriously get magnifying glass and good light on that and make sure, before I whip out the dremel. It also seems to lose power as soon as the tender is over it. But again, my connections aren't finished. Had a hell of a time getting track joiners ON let alone tight. Solder soon which just might solve that whole issue.

I found a video on youtube of this little engine and dang it's a fast bugger. I have a whole set of cars, only put one on for this test thinking maybe pulling a little something would allow me to give it a tad more power. It's barely getting ANY power now, and if I bump it up, with such tight turns the thing just goes flying. I think once I get the track and engine tweaked, and it's pulling a full train, it SHOULD run smoother. I hope.
