Speaker McCarthy leads GOP delegation to US-Mexico border, expresses deep concern on cartel takeover

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy led a delegation of Republican lawmakers to the U.S. southern border on Thursday, in his first visit to the region since the GOP took control of the House in the 2022 midterm elections. Reportedly, Rep. McCarthy is the first sitting Speaker of the House to ever make this trip.
