Turkish Army soldiers continue to deliver humanitarian aid to citizens living in the earthquake-affected regions of the country.

In this footage obtained by Newsflash from the Turkish Ministry of National Defence, members of the army can be seen handing out relief supplies to citizens who have been made homeless by the quake.

Dozens of packages are being handed out and spread among the citizens staying in temporary evacuation centres.

Some of the elders can be seen thanking the servicemen.

Soldiers also gave out some snacks and sweets to the children to slightly improve their day.

One serviceman can be seen rolling out a carpet and placing it on the ground inside one of the tents, presumably to ease the evacuees' fight against the cold.

The Ministry said in a short statement obtained by Newsflash: "Mehmetcik [term which affectionately refers to soldiers of the Turkish Army] continues to deliver aid sent by our nation to our citizens."

A 7.7 and a 7.6-magnitude earthquake struck Turkey in the early morning hours of 6th February.

As per the latest update by the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency , 36,187 have died and 108,068 are injured in Turkey.

Along with more than 5,814 casualties in Syria, more than 42,000 people are confirmed dead.
