FTA Satellite Systems Part 5: C-Band Dish Install, Movement, and Scanning. The Big Dish Is Live!

Time to wrap up my series on FTA satellite systems. With the help of Robbie Strike, and a deep dive down memory lane, I now have a 8 foot C-band dish here to go with my 36 inch KU band setup. This big beast scans the sky for the latest news, and wild feeds that pop in from time to time using a minimal amount of money.
The GT media V9 box was 44.99 with shipping on ebay, and the dish mover was 89.99 with shipping from ebay as well. I used new old stock Radio Shack Coax for the feed horn and car speaker wire for the control wires on the mover arm.

Was it worth it? Aren't all hobbies??? Sure! LOVE the 105W radio feeds, and am currently saving up for an Edison 4K receiver that will pick up the few stray signals that this current box wont.
