Floating Colonies on Venus?

The surface of Venus is inhospitable to life, but the cloud tops of the planet might be much less harsh. The environment 50 km (31 mi) above the surface is more Earth-like than any other place in the Solar System. Floating colonies might someday be built on Venus, with massive balloons supporting majestic and awe-inspiring sky cities.
