Canada: Federal ministers make an announcement on Black justice strategy – February 15, 2023

On Parliament Hill, federal ministers David Lametti (justice) and Marci Ien (women and gender equality and youth) make an announcement regarding Canada’s Black justice strategy. The Liberal government committed to develop the strategy during the 2021 election campaign after advocacy groups and the United Nations raised concerns over anti-Black racism in the Canadian criminal justice system.
