When A Shy Piano Boy Meets A Pretty Piano Girl | Cole Lam

Right at the end of a set where I was out playing at London St Pancras Train Station - my dad has just started to pack to go to the Arsenal game. A lady came over and asked if her friend could come play something in front of me. She then went and grabbed her friend, and it's funny that it looks like she has been pulled to play and wasn't really wanting to! But when she played - you can see the concentration in her face straight away. It was such a nice piece and she has a really soft and light touch and tone - it was really nicely played. Of course, my dad throws me in it, and suggests that she teaches me and I listen to her playing again and try to play it by ear, and build on the theme. It's clearly an oriental piece, but I don't recognise it. It's similar to Butterfly Lovers, where there are so many light touches!
