Spike strip ends pursuit when CHP air unit follows the stolen truck pulling a trailer from above

At midnight, CHP Airplane (Air-37) responded to assist CHP - Solano with a stolen vehicle that was traveling on westbound I-80 in Solano County.

Air-37 arrived overhead as the driver fled from officers. Shortly thereafter, spike strips were deployed, causing the suspect vehicle to slow drastically.

H-32 arrived overhead and relieved Air-37, so they could depart for fuel. The suspect vehicle eventually stopped on I-980 near 18th street in the City of Oakland, where CHP Officers arrested the driver.

The California Highway Patrol will be investigating this incident.
