Otherside - Acoustic Cover (A Song A Week 2023: 05)

I missed a week last week 'cause I pinched a nerve again. This time in my upper neck just behind my temple and it 'caused me an unending localized migraine headache that literally prevented me from focusing on anything for more than a few minutes... but these are excuses. I'm still doing music SOMETHING. I've been curious about a lot of beach-rock and how it might sound "countrified" had my patron saint Johnny Cash lived long enough to do covers of every song ever... I'm not trying to be Cash, but just that I feel more and more comfortable singing in that range and thinking about these pop-rock songs from the frontier campfire perspective.

I'm gonna try to do the production thing soon and compensate with multiple original songs in a week but I've had Chili Peppers on the mind since I got my Jazzmaster and told myself I can only keep it once I can play "Under the Bridge"... There's no deadline on that either so it's just a vague personal goal but while listening to their discography the past week or so this one caught in my mind and I had to give it an attempt.
