Legacy Conversations - Born of 61 Mech - by Andrew Whitaker

61 Mechanized Battalion was formed in 1979 and disbanded in 2005. It was a South African, fully operational battle group, and was actively involved in most cross-border military operations. The young men are now grey haired and their children assisting with fundraising efforts. One such initiative (with all profits going to the Back A Buddy Fund) is a clothing line called BORN OF 61 MECH. This is the background story.
