Adding Casters to the old Upright Freezer

After deciding to keep this old freezer, I needed to make it easier to move.

For this freezer, I used 4 - Finnhomy Swivel Caster Wheels 2 Inch Heavy Duty Threaded Stem Casters (5/16"- 18) to match the thread on the adjustable feet:

This allows me to move the freezer out of the way when not in use. The casters have locking brakes to keep the freezer from moving. I'll be shoved up behind my garden shed when not in use. This should protect the compressor, plumbing and wiring in back from the elements.

I already made use of this freezer to store the frozen items out of the chest freezer when I moved it into the garage and finished up the 24VDC wiring. When that was done, everything was moved back to the chest freezer and this one was shut off. And I suppose if there were ever a problem with the chest freezer, I could use this freezer as a backup. Plus, I keep this freezer out of the landfill for some more years.

More to come...
