The Sccy Is Failing! (Part 1)

I purchased the Sccy CPX-2 years ago as my first concealed carry pistol. It ran great and I even ended up carrying it as a backup gun for years as a police officer. That pistol always ran flawlessly and I was impressed by the CPX-2's quality, affordability, and that it was an American made pistol. I was a Sccy fan instantly but the one thing I didn't like about the CPX-2 was the long, heavy, double action only trigger. I hoped that Sccy would someday make a Striker Fired gun.

Finally, the wait was over with the release of the DVG-1. The DVG-1 (David Vs Goliath) offered a Striker Fired version of the CPX-2 I loved. I purchased a DVG-1 in November of 2022 and I was so excited to get it out to the range and shoot it.

Unfortunately, it was a complete lemon and would not fire more than two rounds in a row without a failure to feed, stove pipe, failure to extract, or any other problem. Thankfully Sccy's warranty amd amazing customer service team allowed me to send it back in for repairs. This video is the first shots of my DVG-1 back from Sccy. Unfortunately, I opened up the box, loaded in quality Federal 9mm ammunition, and it's still stunk. I got so frustrated with the multiple failures that I pulled out my cell phone and filmed this video in real time as the gun was failing so that I could make Sccy aware of exactly what was going wrong so they could finally get it fixed right.

Note, Sccy did eventually make it right with a complete replacement gun. Video on that new gun to follow.

Disclaimer: This video was filmed single-handedly with a cell phone and a pistol, on a closed, private range in a safe and professional manner. But what do I know?!
