In this DIY video, after milling two additional logs on the Norwood sawmill, we are using a combination of traditional and modern timber framing hand tools to complete the construction of the post and beam on the timber frame cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains. A long time coming over the past year, but finally seeing the hard work coming together. The feeling of standing near the structure is one of massiveness next to the large timbers joined together. I think about all the "log cabins" still standing today that were built in the 1800's and hope this lasts for others to see in the future.
