Ellery Gotay has served on a pregnancy board for almost a year. He has been married for ten years and has four young adult children.

Growing up in the church gave him a strong foundation, but after retiring from the US Army after twenty years, he has become more active in church and is growing spiritually. His passion and love for helping others prompted many ways he was able to serve over the years. He has been part of the bus ministry for the Commonwealth of Virginia: Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center. He also drove the bus to pick up children for service on Wednesday and Sunday mornings from a nearby trailer park. In addition, he has been a group leader for the Royal Rangers and assisted the pastors on establishing a Security Team and assisted in writing the Standard Operating Procedures and Protocol. He has also served with his wife as they led a children’s ministry program for seven years called Quiet Time (QT), which focused on worship and prayer time to grow closer to God.

Ellery met Kathy Coffin at church and was honored when she asked him to be on the board of directors. This ministry is dear to his heart as he have seen a family member have to deal with an unplanned pregnancy. His first language is Spanish so being bilingual allows him to reach out to more and break down any barriers.
