Paranormal activity is an intriguing topic that has given rise to popular culture phenomena such as horror movies, ghost stories, and supernatural books. Many people claim to have personally experienced one or more of what is commonly defined as "paranormal" phenomena, such as apparitions, supernatural communication, premonitions and telepathy. While some believe these phenomena are genuine paranormal activity others dispute their authenticity due to a lack of scientific support. Nevertheless it remains an interesting topic with many theories advanced to try and explain its existence.
