This is a comparative Bible study on the events surrounding the beginning of Jesus' Galilean ministry. This 19th Bible study discusses Jesus calling the Apostle Matthew (or Levi) to Himself and then eating with publicans and sinners (Matthew 9:8-13; Mark 2:12-17; Luke 5:26-32). It also compares verses discussing how people reacted to Jesus healing a man with palsy in Capernaum (Matthew 9:1-8; Mark 2:1-12; Luke 5:17-26). Other verses referenced during this Bible study are: Isaiah 28:9-10, Hosea 6:6). Overall, this is our 59th New Testament (NT) Bible study. I'm a layperson, hoping to witness things I believe I've learned through Bible study, and would like to share this information as a friend would with a friend.
