In this DIY off grid cabin build, we finish the deck for the front porch for our cabin! It has been a long time coming and we are excited to be able to utilize and share this process with you. The front porch is made from actual 2" wood planks for the joists and 1" wood planks for the decking. The wood was be torched with fire to bring out the grain pattern. We also put some steps in on the side made from pressure treated lumber because of it being more exposed to weather.
