Raphael Cohen-Almagor received his DPhil in Politics at the University of Oxford (1991). Since 2007, he is a full Professor and Chair of Politics, and the Founding Director of the Middle East Study Group, University of Hull. Raphael taught, inter alia, at Oxford (UK), The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Haifa (Israel), UCLA, Johns Hopkins (USA) and Nirma University (India). He was also Senior Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, Washington DC, and Distinguished Visiting Professor, Faculty of Laws, University College London.

Raphael has published extensively in the fields of politics, philosophy, ethics, law, education, sociology and history. In these various fields of study, a large part of Raphael’s research focuses on Israeli politics, society, legal system, culture and health system.
