Wat Khao Krailart Hua Hin - Fantastic Views of the Sea - Thailand 2023

Named after the sacred mountain Kailaaśa in the Himaalaya, this temple complex offers nice panoramic views of the surrounding areas - both the sea and the hills. The architecture is subdued and tasteful, and the hill is dotted by monastic dwellings that suggest it having been used as a meditation Wat. Overall a worthy short pilgrimage.

It has an ancient feeling to it and appears almost abandoned at first glance but that is part of the charm. The views from the top of the mountain are beautiful. You can see up and down the coast in all directions and even see other temples on neighboring mountains. There are so many different paths to explore and quiet places to reflect and meditate. There is even a Buddha shrine built into the side of the mountain.

The temple is a nice break from the beaches and gives you a different perspective of the area. The view is the highlight but the temple itself is still worth a look.
