China Probing Defenses for EMP?

The Chinese balloon that recently transversed the entire continental US raises great concerns. This vessel was allowed to violate the US airspace an go from Alaska to South Carolina. What if this were a malicious attack vessel? Many might say how could one balloon be an attack weapon with any level of significance? The answers is EMP or Electro-Magnetic Pulse. This is where a powerful nuclear weapon is detonated at high altitude over a target. The blast causes a powerful pulse of electromagnetic energy that literally fries the electronics for a massive area around the blast. When I say massive, the video mentions a 40 megaton device at 80,000 feet causing total power failures across most of the lower 48 states. This is not something that you just reboot from. The electronics at destroyed. This type of event would put the population of the US into the Stone Age instantly. This is only the tip of the iceberg though.

In the US there are 92 operating nuclear power plants. Most, if not all of these have multiple reactors. A nuclear power plant requires a constant supply of electricity to maintain the safety systems of the plant. This is so critical that all nuclear plants have a dedicated secondary traditional power plant near by to provide power during shut down and start up cycles. I am not a nuclear engineer. I am explaining this in terms that I understand so don't hold me to 100% of the details. It is a fact though that if the power systems and backup systems of the nuclear plants failed. The coolant pumps on these reactors would stop. If anyone has studied the Chernobyl nuclear accident. This was with one reactor. at one plant being breached. An EMP would likely cause breaches of every reactor at all 92 facilities in the US. This would be an environmental calamity of global proportions.

Now I am speculating what a potential aftermath would look like. Upwards of 90 percent of the population of the US would be killed in the first several weeks after the EMP. It would cause a complete breakdown of the infrastructure. Stores would not be replenished and starvation would soon follow. The radiation from the nuclear plant disasters would spread around the world. With Chernobyl, a melt down was avoided that everted a disaster that would have made much of Central Europe uninhabitable for centuries. There would be no chance to stop the melt downs of the cores in the reactors in the US. The melt downs would occur. Once they hit ground water...boom!!! The core matter would be exploded into the atmosphere where it would circle the Earth, spreading toxic radiation across the planet. The survivors would be few and would be easily corralled controllable cities. Just like the elites are looking to accomplish. I cannot say this is their plan. IT would be impossible to gauge the disaster of the nuclear plants and ensure the planet was inhabitable at all after the EMP but the end results do create a great many of the outcomes the elites are looking for.
