Why do we still need to obey the laws in the New Testament and how to confess our sins
Frankly speaking, the following is very important, please take it seriously. If in doubt, you should pray in the holy name of Jesus Christ and ask God whether what this author said is true, or you can email me and ask for clarity.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Salvation means after death, human will not go to hell but heaven instead.
Many people overlook the salvation of Jesus Christ or think that faith is enough, and there is no need to deliberately obey the law, and even regard obeying the law as legalism, saying that obeying the law is wrong, because they do not know that perish in the bible means going to hell or do not think that it is about their eternity spending in heaven or hell, so they are not willing to pay the price of obeying the law. e.g. There are things that cannot be done (using piracy), and life is more limited (no trading on the Sabbath)
Why do we still need to obey the laws in the New Testament
The Bible is written in a peculiar way, instead of writing all the related things together, the related things are written separately throughout the Bible, It is impossible for a believer to determine that something means that way just by seeing a word or a sentence. Suppose you only see Romans5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. You'll think that having faith in God is enough. But when you see James2:20 Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? You see that faith was completed by his works; You will understand that faith without works is useless, in order to be counted as justification by faith, faith must be combined with works to be fulfilled, faith is defined as faith plus works, not what ordinary people think requires only faith, works are also required.
To fullfill the requirement in the bible to be counted as justification by faith is similar to receive the attendance award at work which the following conditions need to be met: 1) 1 year of employment 2) only junior employees 3) not late for work for more than 3 times in 1 year 4) good work performance, but because the conditions for receiving the attendance award are written in different parts of the employee handbook, but not listed altogether as above. You have not read the entire employee handbook, so you only see the first 3 conditions and think that you can get the attendance award. Since your work performance has not been very good, eventually you will find that you can't get the attendance award, which is equivalent to not being able to be justified by faith and will ended up in hell.
Works is to obey the laws in the scriptures , but many people will say that works does not necessarily to be obeying the laws. They will say that reading the Bible, praying, worshiping, and praising are all considered works. Works has always been what God requies us to do, not anything we think we have done for God. Just as God's request to Abraham was to sacrifice his son Isaac to the altar, and he did it, that counts as work. If Abraham refuses to sacrifice his son Isaac to the altar and instead sing praises to God, it cannot be counted as work because he has not fulfilled what God requires of him.
The New Testament emphasizes faith, but faith consists of 2 parts, and both parts must be done at the same time to be counted as justification by faith, with only one of these parts, you cannot be counted as justification by faith, you will still die for your sin and go to hell.
In the first part, you must first believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, He was sent to save the world, and He rose 3 days after death before he can be your Savior, your atoning sacrifice, if you do not believe in this first part, there will be no atonement, your sin will not be able to be forgiven by God, you will die for your sin, and you will go to hell.
In the second part, you must obey the laws of Scripture that if you believe only in the salvation of Jesus Christ and do not work, your faith is useless, because faith is fulfilled by works, if there is no work but only the first part of the faith, this cannot be counted as justification by faith, you will still all die for your sin and go to hell. As in James2:20 Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? You see that faith was completed by his works;
Many people will say that it is impossible for people to obey all the laws, because it is impossible to do so, so for Israel, they all needed to obey all the laws, could none of them go to heaven and all of them go to hell? God's requirement for man is to keep his law as much as possible, and every time he sins because he does not keep the law, he needs to confess his sins in the holy name of Jesus Christ, ask God for forgiveness, confess his sins and repent, and gradually transform into the image of Christ.
Many people will say the great and first commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind, and a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. It's not about keeping the law, it's about loving God and loving people, but they don't know that God defines loving him as keeping his law, and if you don't keep His law, you don't love Him. (John14:21 Whoever has my commandments and keeps them , he it is who loves me.)
Matthew 22:37 And Jesus said to him. "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets."
Jesus give this answer because a lawyer ask him which was the greatest commandments in the laws, the 10 commandments are part of the laws, and of course there are other laws as well e.g. not to get drunk (Ephesians 5:18). This means the lawyer is asking within these commandments e.g. do not have other gods, do not worship idols, do not kill, do not steal...e.t.c., which commandment is the biggest.
Jesus said that the first commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind, and the second is to love your neighbor as yourself. He answered this way to sum up the many commandments. John 14:21 Whoever has my commands and obeys them loves me. Commands are laws, and God makes it clear that whoever obeys His commandments loves Him, and Jesus is always saying commandments and nothing else, because the word commandment appears all the time. This means that the first commandment is to obey the commandments about God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind, e.g. do not have other gods and worship idols, and the second commandment is to obey the commandments about people e.g. do not kill and steal.
To love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind, is not to love God in the way that people do e.g. read the Bible, pray, worship, praise, but obey His commandments.
The difference between the New Testament and the Old Testament is that the New Testament is to make people understand that the law is not simply a series of laws, but an act of love, not a mechanical execution of a command, but out of love. Although in the New Testament it is still a sin to not to keep the law, nothing different from the Old Testament, but the attitude is different, obeying the law is a manifestation of loving God and loving people, and the New Testament wants to tell people that e.g. Do not steal, if you love that person, why would you steal from him? If you know that God doesn't like worshipping idols and you love God, why would you worship idols? Why do you do something that God doesn't like you to do?
Many people quote this verse: Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Then they say, here it is clearly said that salvation is by grace and faith, not by works, lest anyone boast, how can it be necessary to keep the law? If you are still obeying the laws, are you not boasting that you were saved by your own works? The point should be on faith in God's salvation.
Even though before I saw this verse, I knew early on that we still needed to obey the laws, as I explained above, but I knew that if people saw this verse, they would have the illusion that they no longer needed to obey the laws, so I prayed for this issue.
After two to three days, suddenly a voice spoke clearly in my right ear, explaining to me what Ephesians 2:8 meant: Only Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has never sinned in his life, only he can be truly righteous, if anyone keep the law, it is inevitable that they will sometimes sin without keeping the law, and their sins will need to be washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ. No one can be like Jesus Christ who has never sinned in his life, all people are righteous only because their sins can be washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ, therefore there is nothing for anyone to boast of.
If there is no salvation, there is no blood of Jesus Christ to wash away one's sins, and even if a person obeys the law, it is inevitable that sometimes he will not keep the law and sin and will die because of sin, because no one can live all his life without sinning, he cannot save himself by works alone, so it is said that salvation is not by works.
We are saved by the salvation of Jesus Christ, which cleanses us of our sins with His blood, plus our faith, and faith includes works, because faith without works is useless, and this grace is not from oneself but from God.
Ephesians 2:8 is not telling people that no work is required, or even forbidding people to have any work. This means that while works are necessary, don't boast about your actions, because without God's salvation at the first place, no matter how much work you have, you will not be able to save yourself.
How to confess your sin
We need to confess our sins to God one by one in order our sins to be forgiven. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John1:9) For if only one need to believe in God without confessing one's sins and sin is naturally forgiven, God does not need to utter the verse 1 John 1:9. Confession of sin is the same as the old testament, it needs to be confessed in the same way, the difference in the New Testament is that we do not need to have a priest like in the the old testament to confess our sin, because Jesus Christ himself is the foreshadowing of the priests of the old testament, He has become a priest to all, we only need to confess our sins through the holy name of Jesus Christ.
