The royal monument of King Naresuan is located in Ang Thong, north of Ayutthaya. The park is currently being constructed to honor the former Thai King, Naresuan the Great.

The project has an area of ​​approximately 200 rai, around 100 acres. This park will enshrine the statues of King Naresuan the Great. In addition to the statues there will be office buildings, a Sculpture Hall, Museum, Buddha Hall, Multipurpose Buildings and a sculpture garden. These will be developed as a historical tourist attraction and the arts and culture of Ang Thong Province. The hope is promote history of the former Thai kingdom of Ayutthaya and one it’s most important leaders, King Narusuan.

Construction of the site was approved by the current Thai king, Rama X. He laid the foundation stone on April 9th, 2022.

The site will contain 4 statues around 15 to 19 meters tall with a gigantic 109 meter tall statue of King Narusuan in the middle.

This ceremony was for setting the heart of the king in the second of the 4 smaller statues. The show consisted of dancers in traditional clothes along with soldiers reenacting the life of the former king. The dress was era factual to include the use of war elephants. It was a lot of fun to see.
