The war in Ukraine is approaching its first anniversary. So far, the cycle of death, destruction and dislocation has failed to be stopped. Peace talks have been ruled out. But both sides regularly release prisoners in exchange. In the new exchange, Russia and Ukraine traded nearly 200 POWs. Moscow said 63 Russian troops had returned from Ukraine after the exchange. Russia added the exchange included some "special category" detainees. The release of special categories of prisoners was secured after mediation by the UAE. Zelensky's aide said 116 Ukrainians had returned.
