“Let us have, as our goal, that there will be no government program which makes it more profitable to go on welfare than to go to work”. It’s been almost 50 years since President Nixon made this speech and the welfare machine hasn’t gotten any better, America still hasn’t lived up to the goal of making it more profitable to go to work than to go on welfare.
