Wood Turning - Medusa's Haircut

A year or so ago I found a root of a shrub that was all tangled up and looked a bit like Medusa to me. I woodturned the center of the root, but I had to cut off a lot of the "hair" to fit it on the lathe (link to that video below). I saved those scraps for a while, and finally cast them in some resin and turned it into the biggest epoxy bowl I've ever made. I was unsure about using black pigment for the resin, but let me know if you think it works or not!
