Noteworthy points (we find it strange that of the hundreds of reports on this, these 2 points were never addressed - until Alyte brought it to our attention:

1) Alec changed his story of who handed him the gun. How could he have forgotten this?

2) The film crew that walked out the day of the tragedy took with them the camera monitoring mechanism that has a dual use - to enable reduced population density on set during Covid was one use. The other was making sure that only the camera, and not the cinematographer, was in the line of fire of any potentially dangerous prop or equipment that might be dislodged or head in the direction of the camera; such as if blanks were used and aimed in the direction of the camera.

SAG manuals make clear that a gun is not to be pointed at individuals ever - and IF the gun is to be pointed at the camera then plexiglass and side-monitoring are to be used for safety - but such pointing of a gun at the camera (not a person) is only to be done under extraordinary circumstances.
