The largest petrified tree in the Petrified National Forrest of Arizona. The details and beauty of this awesome specimen is truly amazing. It is obvious this tree was a living, standing tree as the flood waters were rising and eventually pushed and washed the tree under huge amounts of sediments. The "Second wash" with the glaciers and melt water from the ice and snow would later expose this tree. Cool to see. January 31st, 2023 Arizona mefoundation.world
