Tarik Watson: Top-Ranked NJ athlete collapses during game, taken to hospital

ROSELLE CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL PLAYER COLLAPSES DURING GAME | NEWS 12 NEW JERSEY

A Roselle Catholic basketball player collapsed during the second quarter of a game against Long Island Lutheran’s team.

Medical personnel went to Tariq Watson's side right away as players were ushered off the court. News 12 was told that Watson lost consciousness for a few minutes.

News 12 New Jersey’s obtained a video of the incident. In it, the high school junior was taken off the court on a stretcher and didn’t seem to need CPR.

Watson was taken to a hospital and is said to be OK.

The game was suspended.
