🎬 He must receive that basketball scholarship after high school with a name like Hoops McCann, right? Wrong! A love tale is what Hoops genuinely wants to write and draw. Hoops is invited to spend the summer in Nantucket with his buddy George and his sister in order to help him recover his bearings. When they pick up Cassandra on the way, who is being pursued by a motorcycle gang, the friends' Crazy Summer officially starts. It only gets weirder from here. Once on the island, Hoops and George must aid Cassandra in protecting her grandfather's home from the rapacious Beckersted Family, along with George's island buddies the Stork twins and Ack-Ack (son of a marine). Hoops needs to figure out how to write while traveling.
