Hidden dangers loom in sand along Fort Myers Beach

Having grown up on the barnacle ridden beaches of Puget Sound, I don't walk on beaches barefoot.
My friends in Hawaii would always be amused that I'd walk barefoot all day, but put shoes on to go to the beach.
And then I say, "Braddahs, I can see broken glass on the ground. I no can see if buried in sand."
