MANN-SIMONS HOUSE ..home of freed slave Ben Delane (Columbia, SC)

The Mann-Simons House in Columbia South Columbia was home to Ben Delane, Celia Mann and their daughter Agnus Jackson. Ben purchased his freedom and bout the home in 1843. He also purchased his wife and daughters freedom. House stayed in the family hands for over 125yrs.
