The Heartbreakers L.A.M.F. [1977]

Johnny Thunders and The Heartbreakers came together after the end of the New York Dolls in 1975. The early lineup also included Richard Hell, although he didn't stay in the band. Their debut (and only) album was released in October of 1977, and remains one of the best examples of the power and purity of rock 'n roll.

This record is full of energetic, melodic, attitude-filled songs - they're fun, they're catchy - what more can you ask for? Johnny Thunders has the perfect persona for rock music. The entire band is tight, and this record sounds awesome.

Although the Heartbreakers wouldn't last long, this album is fantastic, and we're grateful for it.
