The Judge 1970 Pontiac GTO InSane Classic American Muscle car

1970 Pontiac GTO Judge while we learn a little about one of the first and most famous American Muscle cars ever. Then we can argue about what the first muscle car was in the comments below the video.
The GTO was the first 1960s Muscle car and I don't say that lightly because there are arguably amazing muscle cars before the 60s like the 1949 Olds Rocket 88. Even before that, a good case could be made for The first muscle car with the Ford Flathead V8 in 1932. Both of which deserve their own video right here on this channel.
This impressive GTO Judge is proof that the horsepower wars started by the first Pontiac GTOs of 1964 was still raging in 1970. Just look at this massive 400 Cubic inch 370 HP monster under the ram air hood. This beast pumped out 445lb-ft of torque at only 3900 RPM.
Power wasn't the only advantage this GTO judge offered. You can see by the lack of a big heavy chrome bumper that weight reduction was a large part of Pontiac's strategy. Heads-up displays weren't available back then so placing the tach in the hood was an ingenious solution.
